Below is a sample Itinerary for the adventure;
Day One: On day one, paddlers will rendezvous at 8am at Hoover Dam Lodge, 18000 Highway 93, Boulder City, NV 89005. Once the entire group is accounted for and packed to go, we'll caravan to the put-in at Willow Beach in Arizona. Once our boards are packed and ready, we'll begin our 8-mile paddle upriver to Arizona Hot Springs, taking our time to explore and experiment with technique along the way. Upon arrival at Arizona Hot Springs, we'll make camp, celebrate happy hour and enjoy the solitude of the desert with a swim in the river, soak in the hot springs, a hike into the canyons or hills or a riverside yoga session.
Day Two: After coffee, breakfast and an optional morning yoga session, we'll pack our boards for a day trip of paddling, hiking & soaking. We'll travel upriver from Arizona Hot Springs stopping at a few canyons along the way for short hikes & exploration. If you're worried about paddling up current, we'll provide instruction on attaining and time to practice. Above Goldstrike Canyon we'll visit the Sauna Cave, then continue the last reach to see the Hoover Dam from below. Not to be missed. Towards the end of the day, we'll float back down to camp for happy hour & free time in the desert. On Day Two we'll paddle approximately 8 miles.
Day Three: We'll kickoff the morning with coffee, breakfast and optional yoga. For some, this may be an off day spent hiking, soaking, relaxing. For those that want to paddle more, we can paddle upriver to explore a different canyon and hot spring. We'll return back to our base camp for another evening.
Day Four: Unfortunately, we have to paddle out on Day Four. After a little morning relaxation & optional yoga, we'll pack up and hit the river for an 8-mile paddle back to Willow Beach.
