Hi Charmaine, could you tell us a little bit about yourself?
I teach paddleboard skills and SUP yoga.
Tell us a little bit about yourself and your experience with paddleboarding
I've been paddling since 2014. I'm a water person -- always on and in the water. The first time I went out on a paddleboard, I was so excited my legs couldn't stop shaking. I bought my board that day. I'm an L-2 SUP Instructor and a SUP Yoga Trainer/Endorser for the American Canoe Association. I also race, which keeps me young at heart, hardest race, 2016 Chattajack!
Location Overview - Tell us about your water environment
I teach on the beautiful mountain lakes and on the French Broad River in Western North Carolina.
What services do you offer?
I teach flat water and moving water lessons and tours through the waterways of Western North Carolina and also some extreme paddleboard games. SUP Yoga is my specialty, I call it liquid yoga, a chance to reconnect to nature.
Can you tell us some interesting notes about the area?
From watching bears play in the forest to large fresh water turtles, views of Western North Carolina are phenomenal. Traveling on the French Broad River through Asheville is a pretty cool.
Do you have a season or do you operate year round?
My season runs from March to October. When it's too cold to paddle here, I head to warmer weather.

Cheeseburgers at Harmony Korner -- they make them awesome

Slow down the pace of your life – find your foundation and placement, center yourself.
SUP Yoga draws awareness into the weight transfer of poses. Those beautiful poses show you how to stay centered on your board making sure you do not exert more pressure on one side of the body. It also increases stability, balance, and core strength all under the beautiful skies with the water as the guide for your yoga mat.
I'm an L-2 instructor and SUP yoga endorser/trainer with the American Canoe Association. I teach Sup Yoga and Paddlesports in Western North Carolina and other parts of the country.
