If you are spending time in Umina Beach in Australia, and want to paddle, then we highly recommend contacting Mana SUP! Perfect Paddles recommends their beginner lessons for a complete understanding on the fundamentals of SUP!
Learn how to stand up paddle and have SUP lessons at Mana SUP, an ASI accredited learn to stand up paddle school, located at Kiddies Corner, Umina Beach (near Terrigal and Gosford), on the Central Coast, about 1 hour and 15-minute drive from the Sydney city center.
Mana SUP is owned and operated by Paul Quirk. Originally from New Zealand, Paul is of Maori descent with a strong association with the water. He grew up with all types of water sports and an appreciation for Maori water culture. Stand Up Paddle came naturally. Paul is also an experienced outrigger canoe paddler and surfer.
Paul started Mana SUP to share his love of the water and passion for stand up paddling with others. He is an ASI Level 3 SUP Instructor for flat water and surf locations and also holds surf rescue and first aid qualifications.
Mana SUP offers private and group lessons for beginner to advanced levels in flat water and beginner surf locations, fitness sessions, women’s only group and SUP tours, social paddles for children, adults, parties, school groups, family groups and corporates. Board rentals and board sales are also offered.
Lessons are conducted at Kiddies Corner, Umina Beach. It is the perfect location to stand up paddle. The beach features beautiful white sand, natural vegetation and is protected from the surf and wind with calm flat water. You can paddle around on flat water, yet enjoy the ocean environment.
Group lessons only have a maximum of 3 students to each instructor. This means you get personalised and hands on expertise with tips and techniques to progress and learn at your own pace.
Or simply enjoy a fitness workout with your instructor never too far away from you.
Mana SUP organises social paddles. Join in each week and enjoy being out on the water, getting fit, and/or perfecting your SUP paddling skills.
Paul also provides some insights on the Maori culture and how it relates to stand up paddle and the water. It all makes for a wonderful paddling experience in this scenic part of the Central Coast.
