- If you are looking to try SUP yoga for the first time, then choose Yogatola. Perfect Paddlesr recommends a class to get your balance on the water and your zen after exercise.
Tola means Balance in Sanskrit, a language used for writing the most ancient texts in India where yoga originated. Balance is something we always try to find in our daily lives.
Yoga not only helps with balance in the physical body, but it also works for well being of the whole person. Coordinated movement and breath in yoga help to bring focus inward allowing us to disconnect from surroundings and calm down impulses of the mind. Yoga teaches us to slow down and learn how to take care of ourselves and live a more balanced life.
Yoga and Pilates have been a part of my life for over 10 years. I was looking for relief from back pain and imbalances intensified by old gymnastics injuries and hours of sitting at the desk. After my first class, I knew it was what I needed for my health and well being. Since then I have completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training and started teaching. My experience gave me a unique insight into rehabilitative aspects of yoga and the importance of creating a balance between strength and flexibility in the body, focusing on the breath and allowing our mind to find moments of stillness. I am continually grateful for and inspired by my teachers and students and enjoy witnessing the benefits of regular yoga practice on and off the mat.I practice and teach with compassion in mind allowing everyone to start where they are and progress from there. My classes are a blend of strength and flexibility with an emphasis on core strengthening postures and using the breath to connect the mind and body. I try to make each class a little different and encourage safe modifications and use of various props (yoga blankets, foam roller, therapy balls, blocks, etc.) to maximize the benefits of each session. I teach postures, breathing and meditation techniques that people can incorporate in their daily lives. Beginners are always welcome in my classes! When not on the mat, I enjoy walking with my dogs, hiking, skiing, and traveling as well as cooking healthy meals often with the ingredients straight from my garden.I offer group and private Yoga and Pilates classes for beginners, gentle flow, and alignment-based vinyasa in Everett, WA. I believe that yoga is for everybody and would like to help everyone discover how they can benefit from yoga. No Records Found
